after weeks of waiting and refreshing various websites and searching for more EU-based stationary stores, i finally found the notebooks i want to make my next year's journal. idk why they're so hard to find - are they not popular enough to keep in stock? are they too popular and keep getting bought out? there's plenty of a5 and b6, i thought we enjoyed a6 as well?? anyway, i ordered them!
so now the big question: can i do all my planning, minimal as it is, in joplin? that's the only thing i want to keep tracking, just basic things to do and a weekly cleaning schedule. i mean, i say minimal and it's only one spread in a notebook, but it's not as easily visible in a joplin note, a vertical scroll... this last week i tried having a loose sheet of paper on the desk but it's just so messy.
so i made a template in joplin to try out for this week. i made it a todo type of note so it always sits at the very top of other notes and doesn't get buried. of course that would mean the laptop will Remain Open throughout the day... out of sight, out of mind, i need to see my tasks. but - maybe that will encourage having joplin open vs. any other thing? i've been doing so much more writing since i set it up the way i like it. infinitely better then that catch-all txt file. maybe having it open at all times could be a benefit?
(also, since getting lagrange it's much easier to turn off the web browser for the day after checking messages in the morning, so no chance of that being the main open window).
if this works, i'll see if i can make a monthly template work as well for november.
