autumn updates

little updates:
- did a ton of equinox tarot readings for folks, loads of fun. i feel like i'm helping and there's always a good conversation in it, so special interest cravings are satisfied. win-win.
- mandolin is back from the luthier's, uncracked and with new shiny resonant strings, they sound like bright reflected sunlight. i'm expanding into jig-picking. again...
- one of my "this will just have to be pretty pictures to look at" tarot decks is actually in active use? i hope it continues to work, it's very nostalgic (my first fully illustrated deck back in the 90s! the pictures still feel like /this/ is tarot and that fizzy teen excitement of discovering a thing you'll be into for the rest of your life??)
- enjoying kelly-ann maddox's self-love prayer retreat on patreon so far. made a little set of beads for it in particular, feels special. i love "using what i have" and finding uses for bits and bobs that have been rolling around various craft boxes for years/decades, handed down from older relatives and their mothers, grandmas. things come together in beautiful ways.
- finally weather cool enough to wear layers, i am excited to play with fashion and have a look around the thrift shops for maybe some serviceable pants, boots, and sweatshirts (or idk some other top layers).
- made a big pot of minestrone! so hearty and long lasting. with some green pesto and parmesan on top, and toasted italian bread on the side... heavenly!
- i have charted the longest possible route in our little bit of woodland nearby. if i loop backwards and forwards i can walk around for almost 1.5 hours and only have to skip one or two paths while repeating none. there's still room for improvement - one of the skipped paths is long and i'd like to include it. a task for the next walk, maybe.
