ink progress

i'll log my ink progress here! using "big" and "small" below to refer to the sizes of the pens' reservoires.

edit: i realized this is going to be hideously difficult to track... i don't think it's entirely pointless to make notes on how it's going but i don't know that i can make a considerable difference/dent in it all this year. might as well just do a general audit at the end of the year or generally in 6months intervals and compare with the original inventory?

• 25/05/26 filled the big pen with pilot iroshizuku (pink), matching that with the kaweco smokey grey cartridge for the smaller pen. the latter wasn't really flowing well, but i remembered the pen runs a bit dry so i slippied the ink up a bit and it's going great!
• 18/06/26 i'm on my second smokey grey cartridge in the small pen, but i used about 1/4 of the reservoir of the pink and pumped the rest back into the bottle to swap out for waterman's mysterious blue (grey is for my daily dealings and the blue will go better with the tarot writing i'm doing, just matches the decks better).
• 28/06/26 i have added another pen... finished the grey cartridges, finished one of the "default" blue cartridges, a big one, to serve as reservoir of the extra pen - it's a refillable rollerball that keeps skipping, but has a nice broad stroke when it doesn't. the big pen is still working through the first reservoir of mysterious blue, the small pen now carries diamine's celadon cat, the extra pen is filled with sailor seki. the color selection matches the july decks exceptionally well!
