i'll probably want to start some sort of project again with the start of the new year - not really sure yet what, or how intensive.
but since i've been working quite hard this year on tarot, contentment, supportive habits, curbing online/impulsive/emotional shopping, limiting internet etc, i thought after the end of this current experiment i might want to try and completely let go of the reins until the end of the year. not completely undo my progress - i'm still going to hold on to those ideals and goals, but without a strict daily regimen, without meticulous trackers etc.
i wonder how much my behavior has really changed, or what might surprise me if i shake off a routine. having fallen from 1700 to 1300-something ranking in backgammon makes me less excited to play (less about the ranking and more about constantly losing for some reason, it is a little disheartening), so my mid-day routine is becoming shaky, that's where the pinterest had crept in. will i be able to self-correct when not paying attention?
i still intend to do my weekly planning in joplin. i can't Not Plan with my memory, so there's always going to be Some Planning in my life, and this joplin set up is working well, it doesn't feel like squeezing myself into some arbitrary routine. it feels very supportive and adaptive, i'm happy to check in with my base of operations throughout the day.
so before i completely freefall with it all, i wanted to focus well on the remaining 2 weeks of limiting the internet. proposed schedule:
- morning: scrolling gemini, games, checking email
- midday: scrolling mastodon and replying to any messages
- evening: posting on masto if i haven't earlier, maybe browsing youtube, 1 video
- weekend: scrolling tumblr is allowed but only during one of the time-slots
- anytime: replying to emails, whatever else i might want to do on gemini, freetube as long as it's from my already subscribed list
