prayer inspirations

03/10/25

i did a little prayer-retreat last weekend and it got me inspired to organize my prayer "routine" (or /into/ a routine) around the moon cycles. i already use the moon as my primary guide for all sorts of activities, so this would be a natural/organic expansion.

my "dark" rosary would happen around the new moon. the "hail mary" part is a completely reworked/custom prayer around lady death. the our father remains the our father, except in aramaic (with its focus on light/sound, a good counterbalance for the overwhelming darkness of the decades). (i skip all the other rosary prayers in general.)

i do like the "standard" rosary, which i say in polish. so maybe this one would go on the first and third quarter, a kind of transitional "keep going" experience?

and i was recently inspired to make new beads (and am yet to write the prayers) for the brighter side of deity/life/universe. that would, naturally, go around the full moon. i have an old prayer i could use on the separator beads. it's not quite a counterbalance to the "sparkling" i want for the main prayer, but it does emphasize balance, presence, flow.

these 12 days of prayer leave me with 16 days in the lunar month to do other things, whatever seems right. transcendental meditation, chanting mantras, singing with the shruti box, just breathing, astral temple stuff. maybe this way no one thing would feel neglected and there would be enough flexibility to go with what's needed as well?
