week 47 - busybusy
24/11/24
what a week. very busy. also i stopped keeping logs so... i hope i can remember what happened based on the long-form journal that hosts an entire collection of random junk.
biggest items:
- joined a forum! i missed forums. everything sorted where you can find it, a different demographic (i guess older folks who started out on forums and kind of stayed there?) lots of info and inspiration, i can imagine myself getting all up in it. it's a little less lively than i'd hoped but who knows, maybe there are "seasons", maybe all the americans are preparing for thanksgiving or something?
- went to brussels to meet my new doctor. very satisfied. trip was good, caught all my trains and trams, weather was nice, doctor was great (or: i'll see if she's as great as it seemed when i go to the pharmacy to check up on my prescriptions). even managed a little down time browsing vinyls in a classical music shop and a little coffee treat. go me!
smaller items:
- dentist on monday, in the best possible way. didn't try to convince me to get Expensive Solution and offered ideas for a Different problem (for which he previously tried to send me to a specialist, something that's impossible to find around here)
- nurse time on tuesday, smooth sailing
- helped partner through Time of Deals for their xmas shopping
- did regular xmas shopping for family back home, still one thing missing, but done with two boxes, ready to ship soon
- preparing for reno this week - unknown day, unknown time, thanks landlord...
- lots of new tarot ideas
- great slow cooker meal, bought an already marinated pork tenderloin, made it last two meals + soup from leftover veg and broth
- random arting around in my journal. just having fun. and i'm almost finished with this one! partner got me a surprise A6 hobonichi, i'm excited to see the inks i've been using on Better Paper
- had our first snow! now it's somehow 16C again?
- finished watching the hobbit, started on lotr, about to continue right now!
a healthy and productive last week of november, everyone!
